*******Original Post*******
As you may know, I LOVE receiving cards and packages in the mail! Love it. Well a few days ago I received a very big package from the awesome folks at Dayspring!
*This product was given to me for review by Dayspring. All opinions are my very own.
Do you know what that is?! A card organizer! I couldn't contain myself! It's enough that I like to organizer everything, but I never even thought to organize my cards! And it couldn't have come at a better time as one of my 'resolutions' this year is to send more cards. Not just for birthdays, but for 'Just Because's' and impromptu 'Thank you's' too! (I just ruined my proper grammar didn't I?)
While I was happily grabbing every card I own and filling up my new organizer, I couldn't help but give you a glimpse of my less amused husband and dog.
Phil, how is this not exciting?! Now come on, who doesn't like to receive a card? Especially when we are going through a tough time or celebrating a special occasion. (Like our 8th anniversary coming up on the 8th!)
The lack of communication and real friendships with people nowadays just saddens me. (Myself included.) We text conversations instead of having a face to face or phone conversations. We look at pictures of our friends and family members and comment away, but where is the actual relationship? I think if we sat down once in a while and wrote a card, we could grow closer. Real life friendships. And because it means a lot to me to receive a random card or package, I am promising to send some myself this year. It doesn't have to say much. It's the thought.
| Thanks for the tea babe! |
Which brings me to my very 1st GIVEAWAY!

(Shipping charges will apply and there is a minimum purchase of $20 for the coupon code to work properly.)

Piece of cake! Chocolate of course in honor of national Chocolate Cake Day. (I'm serious.)

Oh how cool! Yay for your very first giveaway!!! And what a perfect giveaway for you my friend. Now to answer your questions...my goal was to send all cards on time but I've already messed up on that one! I am from your childhood. And I found you through modeling. :) I'll make an announcement about your giveaway on my blog soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's so fitting that you are the first one to enter too! I always send cards late. It's unreal. But now that I have my handy dandy organizer everything might change in 2012. I feel it.
DeleteI didn't think there was going to be a grading system in place for my giveaway tasks, but you failed on how you found me. We modeled together, yes, but that isn't where we met. I know, we were 2 it's hard to remember specifics. But our Dad's played softball together and we would go to their games. Plus we were in Sunday School together! Did you see the post with our modeling pic? I added it to your blog link up last week!
AHHH, being organized about my card-writing/sending was my new years' resolution this year! Not even kidding! I love to send cards & I do it ALL the time, but I can be a bit inconsistent. I have a couple of friends who are super diligent about making sure everyone receives one on their birthday every single year, and I constantly think that I want to be more like that, so that's where my new years' resolution came in. Currently I have birthdays from February-April written out on a stickie note taped to my mirror... haha, an actual organizer would be way more efficient :) Um, what else? I'm from Winston-Salem, NC, but I've spent the past four years in Durham (NC) at college. Just a few more months, and then who knows where I'll be living?! And... goodness, how did we become blog buddies? Maybe just a good ol' Google search & some comments later? :o) Anyway, awesome giveaway -- I love DaySpring!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate! If I wasn't a major procrastinator, maybe the cards I DO send, would actually make it on time. But I must get better at it! I'm warming up to the idea of paying monthly to receive the Dayspring cards. When you start to have too many, you can put it on hold. Maybe it would force me to stay on top of it. Thanks for stopping by once again!
DeleteI love to send and receive cards. I've contemplated a card organizer myself :) I'd just like to be able to remember a few birthdays and get the cards sent out before the birthday. I have a huge family so I don't know if I'll be able to manage all of them or not. I can try, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fellow blogger from Kentucky who found you through Lauren at Happily Mother After.
Congratulations Samantha! Now start writing those cards!
